Ardcairnie Angus on the move
This month, after the sale of the stud in October, all the Ardcairnie Angus stud animals have been trucked to their new home with the Dewar Family at Guilderton – cows, their 2020 born calves, the pregnant heifers and the herd bulls.
Remaining on the farm (sold to three local farmers who take over on 2nd March) are the 2019 born bulls for the final Ardcairnie Angus bull sale at Maybenup on Tuesday 2nd February 2021. Details of the sale on the Bull Sales page where you will also find the link to the catalogue in early January as well as photos of some of the sale bulls happy to have a photo opportunity!
A Bed and Breakfast option is usually available so buyers can leave their purchase there until required at their new home. Due to the sale of the farm – all bulls purchased on sale day must be removed from Maybenup by Tuesday 16th February 2021.
Arrangements are still being considered for any unsold bulls at the end of the sale; they may move to our son’s farm at Wokalup (between Harvey and Brunswick Junction) but check this website after the sale for an update on that.
Frank Dewar and his family, principally son Joseph, plan to continue the stud name as (in their words) they “would like to continue breeding bulls that perform well in commercial conditions.” We are delighted and pleased with this outcome and wish the Dewar family every success into the future.
